I bought the medium and small. After my natural birth, I was ready to put my girdle on, I had a tear though and was afraid to put in on, yet I still did. I decided I wanted to walk around birthing center that night after delivery, so I forced myself in it. I didn’t zip it up, just had the hooks on it. I felt so much better when I had it on but couldn’t have it on for long cause of my stitches. So after 2 hours I took it off. Next day, i zipped it up and had it on for 6 hours but didn’t hook the bottom part. As days went by, I had it on longer, sometimes days, sometimes just night, but after two weeks I had lost 6” of waist and 26 pounds, (gained 46lbs and was a size 7). I now wear the small on the outer hooks and I’m hoping after next two weeks I’ll hook it to the inner ones, I’m very pleased with purchase and no one can really believe I’ve just had a baby.

This isn’t one of those “I lost all my baby weight and look like barbie again!” reviews. I’m just an average (okay, slightly larger than average) lady who needed support after a repeat c section. I have had both an emergency c section and a scheduled one. After the emergency one, I couldn’t even get out of bed by myself. The recovery was horrible. I felt like I was made of jello, and was in terrible pain. My abdominal muscles were very separated (still are), so I was left looking pregnant, even over a year later… with PT. After extensive research, I decided to order the bellefit dual closure bundle for my next c section. The differences between my experience with and without Bellefit have been much more extreme than I even hoped for. PROS: *A lot less pain *Much more mobility *Corset keeps belly off of incision *Don’t have to use a pillow to brace when laughing/coughing *Feeling more confident CONS: *Expensive (but can you really put a price on your confidence and comfort? ) *Only got to wear the larger size for a few days (maybe that’s good, but I could have saved some money. .. and it looks like I’ll need to order a THIRD corset because the one I’m in now is no longer providing the same level of support.) *Digs into ribs (The amazing staff at Bellefit mailed an extention for the top of the corset-awesome-but maybe they should come with automatically…) If you’re having a c section- get this. You won’t regret it, and you won’t find anything close to it. Don’t be foiled by cheaper copy cats! I tried the cheap ones, they did nothing.

Begin wearing after birth on the day that you are discharged from the hospital. It’s optimal to begin wearing Bellefit right after birth; however, you will still see results if you begin to wear your girdle at any time during the first 6 months after the delivery.
Here’s why: Still present after childbirth for up to 6 months are hormones secreted during pregnancy. These hormones, Estrogen, progesterone and relaxin loosen the abdominal muscles, the pelvic structure and supporting ligaments and joints. Bellefit works together with your body’s natural process of recovery.
