    I wasn’t really sure about this product!! This was my secomd pregnancy and I did have for my first child a natural delivery… In 3 weeks I was already as before (but i’m a sportive girl. Anyway, this one end up with a C section so one day after birth I put my belly Band on, but it was really hurting me at the incision level. So I decided to buy something that would help me without hurting my incision.After few check online I opt for Bellefit who gave me a great customer service. I order the S, and put it on right away. it really work but the only concern was the 2 pieces on each side of ribs was a little bit disturbing and sometime hurting if i wore too long. other than that great product in 2 weeks i was back on my size pp.

    I was happy with the corset at first but starting to really not like it. The top rolls down after about an hour. There is also a noticeable “dent”..like a really bad panty line showing through my pants. I do have to say that I like the way it makes my tummy look flatter after just 4 weeks of having a c-section. It has really helped in the midsection.

    I was diagnosed with a diastisis recti (separation of the rectus abdominal, or 6-pack, muscles at my 6 week post partum checkup. I was told by my midwife this was the worst she had seen in 20 years of practice. My muscles were almost spread as far as my hip bones. So I reseearched and ordered the girdle with hooks in the front. It made my back pain better immediately. Not to say it went away altogether, but it definitely improved. I am also going to Physical Therapy and would definitely encourage anyone else with this problem to do so as well. Mine is a pilates based practice. As far as getting the corset on I can not do it lying down as suggested I have to do it standing up like you would with a zipper. I had my husband do all the eye hooks for a couple days and then didnt want to have to depend on him all the time. I do wish I could throw it in the washer though. It’s hard to get it to dry overnight to wear the next morning without a fan on it all night.

    I purchased my Bellefit after having my 5th baby in under 7 years. I only wish I had known about it sooner! After my 3rd baby, I had diastasis recti. My 4th and 5 babies were only 13 months apart, so I started doing research for compression garments. I purchased this one and another popular brand of compression garment. There is no comparison. The Bellefit is very comfortable (as far as these things go) and stays in place. It does a GREAT job of keeping everything “in.” Also, when I went to place my order, I took my measurements but wasn’t sure what size to order since I was at the top of the Medium range. After chatting online with one of the customer service reps, I ordered the Medium and am SO glad I did! I am only 4 weeks Postpartum, but after wearing it a few weeks I am MUCH smaller and will probably need a smaller size soon. That would be my only complaint is that for the price, I hate to have to buy a new one every few weeks.

    I can’t actually review this product…yet. I’ve just received it as of about 5 minutes ago! What I wanted to review was the customer service provided by this company.I had an issue with my initial order and put a note in on the customer service form on the website. Within a couple of minutes I had an email from a representative telling another representative to “call this lady asap to help her”. Within less than 10 minutes (probably about 5) I had a phone call from the customer service department who went above and beyond to help me with my problem. I am 31 and I have NEVER experienced customer service or a company so willing to help. I have a 2 year old and a 2 week old and am on an emotional roller coaster which the company not only understood but was unbelievable kind about. I hope their product lives up to their customer service!

    I started using the hook style 2 days after my c-section. I was able to sit up from the bed/couch/floor as well as cough when wearing the support. Very comfortable.

    I have only been wearing my corset for a few days, but I already can tell it’s working. I was initially interested in the girdles for the back and abdominal support, but it has REALLY slimmed down my belly even in the few days I’ve been wearing it. My back feels great and my abdominal muscles are regaining strength. Can’t wait to move down a size and keep going with my progress! Also, GREAT customer service. Thank you!

    I got a size large corset just before having my 4th c-section (exactly 5 years and two weeks after my first). I’ve never felt better after a c-section than when I’m wearing my corset girdle!!! Not only do I look better, but I’ve been able to get my diastasis recti closed to 2 fingers after just 6 weeks and it’s still improving. It hasn’t been that good since before I had children. I’ve still got quite a ways to go as far as weight loss is concerned, but I am back in my pre-this pregnancy jeans and was able to get into them just about two weeks after the c-section. I started out in a large and was able to get into a medium within three weeks. I would recommend one of these to everyone! I cannot say enough good about them!

How to Wear your Bellefit Corset®

  • Unhook the front panel and hook the groin closure.
  • Sit down on the edge of your bed and step into the girdle one foot at a time.
  • Stand to pull it up as far as you can.
  • Lie on your back to fasten the vertical hook closure. Start with the bottom hook and work your way up.
  • Stand up, center the front panel and adjust until comfortable.

Directions

Begin wearing after birth on the day that you are discharged from the hospital. It’s optimal to begin wearing Bellefit right after birth; however, you will still see results if you begin to wear your girdle at any time during the first 6 months after the delivery.

Here’s why: Still present after childbirth for up to 6 months are hormones secreted during pregnancy. These hormones, Estrogen, progesterone and relaxin loosen the abdominal muscles, the pelvic structure and supporting ligaments and joints. Bellefit works together with your body’s natural process of recovery.
