After purchasing the CORSET-Girdle w/Hooks, I was amazed at how fast the shipping was! Also I started wearing it about 10 days after my third C-Section and I truly wish I had this product for my previous two. This is a lifesaver, it offers so much support in addition to making you feel better about the way you look after having a baby. Thank you so much. I’ll be telling everyone I know about this wonderful product.

The corset is good because it does not roll down. If you are consistent in wearing it the belly goes down. The only con is the bottom part enters one’s buttocks. I also recommend that the corset should be worn as soon as one delivers.
Maryann Otto – 03/28/2013
I bought the corset girdle approximately 6 weeks ago from the Bellefit website. This was my third c-section and I needed to be able to get going and chase after my two other children. With my last two c-sections, it took me at least 6 months to feel better about exercising and I had also developed diastasis recti with my last pregnancy. The hospital gave me an abdominal binder but it did not look too nice under clothes when you leave the house and it was not very comfortable. I researched and found the bellefit corset. The website has a special calculator to help you determine your size but if you are between sizes, as I was, it is better to call their customer service. Also, I recommend purchasing a bundle instead of just one corset or girdle because you will shrink down wearing the initial one and need to go a size down. I wore my first one for at least 4 weeks and then was able to move to the next size down. Their customer service is excellent and will help you with any question you have. The girdle was quite tight at first and took a few days to get used to but now I love it. It fits under your clothes perfectly and people tell me all the time that I don’t even look like I had a baby when I’m not wearing it.

Wow, this one was my second pregnancy. With my 1st one I gain 60lbs, and it took me 7month to go back to my regular size and to loose all my baby weight. With number 2, I gain 60lbs also, I was not happy at all, so I search and search for month to find something to be able to help me shape my belly back to normal. And wow I am glad I purchase this, is been 2 month since I give birth to my baby girl, and my belly is almost completely flat, and what I love about this is that it help me thigh my skin too, I don’t see much loose skin like my first baby. Everyone should try this, I just love it.
Jessica Ramos – 03/13/2013
I purchased the corset prior to delivering my second child so I could use as I came home from the hospital. I absolutely love it!!! I am 6 weeks postpartum and I’m already back in my pre-pregnancy jeans which I was unable to do after my first pregnancy. Not only does it work but it is so comfortable as well. Thank you Bellefit!! I highly recommend 🙂
Laura Lambert – 03/13/2013
This corset is amazing! It is not bulky or noticeable but is tight and secure enough to pull your muscles back together post pregnancy. It is very durable and even held up through many washes in the washing machine! It wears very very comfortably and is not painful like some of the other brands. I love it and recommend it to anyone I know who is pregnant!

Hello. I choose the bellefit corset girdle because I had read the amazing reviews it had for a c section birth. I delivered my 2nd daughter on 2-14-13 & right away started using my bellefit girdle & let me just say I love it. Awesome support & comfortable fit. This product does not disappoint I am absolutely in love with it I never take it off well only to shower & wash it of course. The only thing I wish I would have done was ordered a smaller size because I am losing weight rapidly & slowly but surely I’m no longer fitting into the one I got.

This Bellefit corset has done wonders in helping me fix the diastasis recti I was diagnosed with after having 2 kids. I originally bought a “Diastasis Rehab Splint” that goes along with Julie Tupler’s “Lose Your Mummy Tummy” program. However, that splint never stayed in place, so I never made progress in fixing the diastasis. The Bellefit girdle stays in place much better.! Customer service was great in working with me..the first corset had boning which cut into my sides too much, so they replaced it with a corset WITHOUT boning which feels much better. I highly recommend this product, I really wish I had known about it when I was first recovering from childbirth since I think I would’ve gotten even better results sooner.
Stacy Fillible – 01/19/2013
I got a size large corset just before having my 4th c-section (exactly 5 years and two weeks after my first). I’ve never felt better after a c-section than when I’m wearing my corset girdle!!! Not only do I look better, but I’ve been able to get my diastasis recti closed to 2 fingers after just 6 weeks and it’s still improving. It hasn’t been that good since before I had children. I’ve still got quite a ways to go as far as weight loss is concerned, but I am back in my pre-this pregnancy jeans and was able to get into them just about two weeks after the c-section. I started out in a large and was able to get into a medium within three weeks. I would recommend one of these to everyone! I cannot say enough good about them!
Maggie Cole – 12/17/2012
I have only been wearing my corset for a few days, but I already can tell it’s working. I was initially interested in the girdles for the back and abdominal support, but it has REALLY slimmed down my belly even in the few days I’ve been wearing it. My back feels great and my abdominal muscles are regaining strength. Can’t wait to move down a size and keep going with my progress! Also, GREAT customer service. Thank you!
Marlene Grace – 10/31/2012
I have had my corset for about 5 weeks and yes I do see the difference in my midsection. I am beginning to wear it while I sleep now to see if it will produce better results. Will let everyone know what happens. Good product would recommend.
Janette Tolentino – 10/30/2012
This is great product really helps shrink your waistline. Very pleased with this product started off with a large &now at 4 weeks down to a medium. Would def recommend .
Bena Lukoseviciene – 10/22/2012
I’m very pleased with this product, very comfortable, not cheap but worth the price. would recomend to all women 🙂
Rhonda Williams – 10/15/2012
Every time I put it on, my waist shrinks a little more and my stomach tightens! Great and comfortable girdle with real results.
Stacie Vaughan – 10/10/2012
I started using the hook style 2 days after my c-section. I was able to sit up from the bed/couch/floor as well as cough when wearing the support. Very comfortable.
Shannon Kistler – 08/13/2012
I can’t actually review this product…yet. I’ve just received it as of about 5 minutes ago! What I wanted to review was the customer service provided by this company.I had an issue with my initial order and put a note in on the customer service form on the website. Within a couple of minutes I had an email from a representative telling another representative to “call this lady asap to help her”. Within less than 10 minutes (probably about 5) I had a phone call from the customer service department who went above and beyond to help me with my problem. I am 31 and I have NEVER experienced customer service or a company so willing to help. I have a 2 year old and a 2 week old and am on an emotional roller coaster which the company not only understood but was unbelievable kind about. I hope their product lives up to their customer service!
Amanda Carson – 05/09/2012
I purchased my Bellefit after having my 5th baby in under 7 years. I only wish I had known about it sooner! After my 3rd baby, I had diastasis recti. My 4th and 5 babies were only 13 months apart, so I started doing research for compression garments. I purchased this one and another popular brand of compression garment. There is no comparison. The Bellefit is very comfortable (as far as these things go) and stays in place. It does a GREAT job of keeping everything “in.” Also, when I went to place my order, I took my measurements but wasn’t sure what size to order since I was at the top of the Medium range. After chatting online with one of the customer service reps, I ordered the Medium and am SO glad I did! I am only 4 weeks Postpartum, but after wearing it a few weeks I am MUCH smaller and will probably need a smaller size soon. That would be my only complaint is that for the price, I hate to have to buy a new one every few weeks.
Alicia Lister – 03/11/2012
I was diagnosed with a diastisis recti (separation of the rectus abdominal, or 6-pack, muscles at my 6 week post partum checkup. I was told by my midwife this was the worst she had seen in 20 years of practice. My muscles were almost spread as far as my hip bones. So I reseearched and ordered the girdle with hooks in the front. It made my back pain better immediately. Not to say it went away altogether, but it definitely improved. I am also going to Physical Therapy and would definitely encourage anyone else with this problem to do so as well. Mine is a pilates based practice. As far as getting the corset on I can not do it lying down as suggested I have to do it standing up like you would with a zipper. I had my husband do all the eye hooks for a couple days and then didnt want to have to depend on him all the time. I do wish I could throw it in the washer though. It’s hard to get it to dry overnight to wear the next morning without a fan on it all night.
Erin Lamay – 03/11/2012
I was happy with the corset at first but starting to really not like it. The top rolls down after about an hour. There is also a noticeable “dent”..like a really bad panty line showing through my pants. I do have to say that I like the way it makes my tummy look flatter after just 4 weeks of having a c-section. It has really helped in the midsection.
Thupalua Mola – 02/11/2012
I wasn’t really sure about this product!! This was my secomd pregnancy and I did have for my first child a natural delivery… In 3 weeks I was already as before (but i’m a sportive girl. Anyway, this one end up with a C section so one day after birth I put my belly Band on, but it was really hurting me at the incision level. So I decided to buy something that would help me without hurting my incision. After few check online I opt for Bellefit who gave me a great customer service. I order the S, and put it on right away. it really work but the only concern was the 2 pieces on each side of ribs was a little bit disturbing and sometime hurting if i wore too long. other than that great product in 2 weeks i was back on my size pp.

Doctors recommend Bellefit compression girdles and corsets for the treatment of these medical conditions which are most commonly experienced by women after childbirth.
The rectus abdominis muscles are found on the abdomen and are commonly referred to as the abs or “6 pack” muscles. There is a small band of tissue, called the linea alba, that connects the right and left side of the rectus abdominis muscles and is located at the midline of the body. Diastasis recti is a condition in which there is a weakening of the linea alba allowing for an abnormally large separation between the rectus abdominis muscles. This widening of the linea alba allows for bulging of the abdomen and an appearance of still appearing pregnant after delivery.
A hernia is the result of an organ or tissue protruding through an opening in the muscles. While a hernia can occur in many areas of the body, they most commonly develop in the abdominal and groin areas during pregnancy. Developing a hernia during the course of your pregnancy is not always an immediate concern; in fact, most physicians recommend waiting until after you give birth to have the hernia treated. However, hernias rarely, if ever, go away on their own and must eventually be treated. Left untreated, a hernia will progressively worsen in severity and eventually become more serious can eventually lead to life-altering complications.
Back pain, especially in the lumbar or sacral regions, is a common condition experienced during pregnancy. In fact, nearly 1 out of every 2 pregnant women can expect to experience acute or chronic pain the in lumbar or sacral regions of the spine. The pain in these areas is typically temporary and a direct result of pregnancy-induced weight gain and hormonal changes, and often contributes to pain, sleep-disturbances, and other discomforts experienced during the course of the pregnancy.
Hip pain can be debilitating — especially when you are tasked with carrying a baby. The extra pressure and strain on your joints causes hip pain that pregnant women often misdiagnose and neglect to seek treatment for. Hip pain comes from various sources during pregnancy. Most women start to develop the joint pain during the second trimester, right as you start to develop a “baby bump.” The change in your walking style, the loosening of your ligaments holding together the sacroiliac joints, and sleeping on your side later in pregnancy all can add to hip pain. Another cause is pressure on your sciatic nerve, formally called Sciatica. Sciatica can cause pain, numbness, and/or tingling in the buttocks, hips, and thigh. This is where appointments with your physician are especially useful, as Sciatica can lead to serious complications.
Subluxation of symphysis is also known as symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD). This is a condition that causes excessive movement of the pubic symphysis. The symphysis is a midline, nonsynovial joint that connects the right and left superior pubic ram. Because of the misalignment of the pelvis, pain is associated with this diagnosis. Basically, this joint holds the right and left sides of the pelvic muscles together. When this joint becomes soft, pelvic muscles and bones move more freely. With the weight of a growing baby, this can become a painful condition.
The perineum is the tissue that is located between the vagina and the anus. There are layers to the tissue being skin, subcutaneous tissue, and the pelvic floor muscles. The pelvic floor muscles are important muscles in regards to the passing of stool and urine. During vaginal delivery, the perineal tissue is stretched with the passing of the baby, mainly the head and shoulders, which can lead to tears of the perineal tissue. There are different grades ranging from 1 to 4 of perineal lacerations. Grades 1 and 2 are most common. Grades 3 and 4 are more severe with tearing of muscles and the anal sphincter. An episiotomy is an intentional perineal laceration made by the physician at the time of delivery. This was performed routinely some number of years ago, but is no long a routine procedure. Episiotomies are usually performed if there is concern for grade 3 or 4 perineal laceration or if there is concern to deliver the baby quickly.
The uterus is held in place by pelvic ligaments and muscles. The muscles can become weak or stretched out leading to a lack of support for the uterus. When the muscles become weak, the uterus may sag or descend from its normal position into the vagina. A uterovaginal prolapse is classified by its stage. A complete prolapse means part of the uterus has slipped so far that it protrudes from the vaginal opening. The difference with an incomplete uterovaginal prolapse is that the uterus becomes partially displaced into the vagina, but it does not protrude out.
The pelvic region of the body is the lowest part of the abdomen between the hip bones. The perineum in women refers to the area between the vagina and anus. Pelvic and perineal pain involves discomfort in either or both areas. Because the pelvic area and perineum are located near various organs, nerves, and muscles, pelvic and perineal pain is very common in women. The pain may come and go or be constant. The quality of the pain may vary based on the cause. The pain may be sharp, burn, or ache. Depending on the cause of the pain, symptoms may worsen when you move or use the bathroom.
Lower abdominal, inguinal, and groin pain is experienced due to the stretching of ligaments around the womb. As the womb becomes larger to accommodate the baby, the ligaments that hold the uterus in place must stretch. A certain ligament known as the round ligament is the culprit of your pain. This ligament attaches the front portion of the uterus to the groin. Normally, this ligament contracts and relaxes slowly when you sneeze, cough, or make rapid movements. During pregnancy everything speeds up and more weight is applied to the ligament. Due to the enlarging of the uterus during pregnancy, the round ligament is stretched and contracts more quickly, therefore causing pain.
Begin wearing after birth on the day that you are discharged from the hospital. It’s optimal to begin wearing Bellefit right after birth; however, you will still see results if you begin to wear your girdle at any time during the first 6 months after the delivery.
Here’s why: Still present after childbirth for up to 6 months are hormones secreted during pregnancy. These hormones, Estrogen, progesterone and relaxin loosen the abdominal muscles, the pelvic structure and supporting ligaments and joints. Bellefit works together with your body’s natural process of recovery.
As a new mother, you likely have questions about what you can and cannot do after giving birth. There will be a period of rest and recovery following the birthing process that you’ll be recommended to take. So, how do you know if a postpartum girdle is right for you or not?
Among the many benefits that comes with wearing a postpartum girdle is how well it keeps things in place. With pregnancy weight being an issue for many women who have just given birth, a postpartum girdle helps compress the abdomen, giving you a seamless look that can be worn under dresses, skinny jeans, and sweatpants. It also provides extra support for the lower back which has a tendency to hurt whenever weight is gained.
Having a garment that keeps everything in place makes it easier for you to exhibit good posture and prevent muscle strain. That means that you won’t risk injuring yourself while you work to lose the extra weight you gained while pregnant.Bellefit products are designed to maximize comfort while providing support in all the right places. We offer a variety of styles of girdles to choose from, too, making it easy to find one that you love wearing.
The fact that your hips spread while pregnant to accommodate childbirth is quite the phenomenon. Your pelvis also makes room for the birthing process which may or may not include a vaginal delivery.
With the right corset or girdle, you’ll be able to narrow the distance between your hips and go back to looking like yourself once again.
As you work to lose the pregnancy weight, you’ll feel your hips and lower back being supported by the undergarment. Binding your hips in the eight weeks after giving birth helps pelvic joints go back to where they were prior to your pregnancy. That way, you won’t feel them being as spread-out as before.
A surge of hormones is something to be expected when pregnant. Don’t be concerned if your mood swings all over the place. It’s incredibly normal to feel the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.
You will get back to your normal self soon. Even if you don’t, you’ll start to feel better about your situation. If your feelings of sadness or depression don’t go away, it’s time to speak to a licensed therapist who can help you on a clinical level. Your issue is far more complicated than just needing some extra rest or help around the house.
Your hormones will eventually settle and you’ll feel more at ease in your body. Don’t be surprised if there is a transitional period from giving birth to getting back to your pre-pregnancy self. You’ve got time, and with Bellefit, you’ve got tools! Our postpartum girdles have helped women from around the world feel more confident about their bodies after delivering.
As a pregnant woman, you’re required to follow lots of advice. The following list provides valuable insight and advice on what not to do after giving birth to a child. By following it and the suggestions given to you by your physician, you decrease the chances delaying your recovery. – Strenuous Exercising – Caffeine – Alcohol – Junk Food – Certain Types of Fish
It’s important that you steer clear of these things until your body has had time to fully heal and that you’re no longer breastfeeding your child. That way, you’re not taking any chances on you or your baby’s health. Instead, you’re postponing some of the things you may really be looking forward to doing, eating or drinking.
The Corset is adjustable and has two rows of hook and eye closures in the front that are separated by an inch apart. As your body transforms after your delivery, you can adjust the setting when slightly more or less compression is needed.
This post-pregnancy corset also has a convenient crotch closure that allows you to use the restroom or change your underwear and pads comfortably without needing to take it off each time.
Yes! The front hook and eye closures of the Corset are designed with the incision in mind.
The Corset is not bulky and is flush with your skin; however because of the closure location, it may be slightly visible underneath certain fabrics or if you are wearing a fitted top. Keep in mind though that your comfort and healing process is the most important factor!
Yes! The Corset is an excellent option for either delivery method.
Yes! The Corset is recommended in the case of an abdominal surgery that may or may not be the result of a pregnancy.
Yes. There are three rows of the hook and eye closures that are separated by an inch apart so you can tighten your girdle when more or less compression is needed throughout your recovery.
Since the Corset is adjustable, it is suitable for all body shape types.
Begin wearing your Corset the day that you are discharged from the hospital or as soon as you are ready to wear it after the delivery. It’s optimal to begin wearing Bellefit right after birth; however, you will still see results if you begin to wear your girdle at any time during the first 6 months after the delivery. As always, consult with your physician to make sure the Corset is right for you since every recovery process is so unique.
