The Bellefit Girdle with Zipper has a lateral zipper on the side with two sets of hook and eye closures underneath. Ideal for Natural Childbirth.
The Girdle with Zipper has a lateral zipper on the side with two sets of hook and eye closures underneath. They are separated by an inch apart so you may tighten the girdle when additional compression is needed as you progress during your childbirth recovery. Although we do recommend this style for women that have had a Natural delivery, many moms do choose to wear the Girdle with Zipper after their C-Section incision has healed.

Doctors recommend Bellefit compression girdles and corsets for the treatment of these medical conditions which are most commonly experienced by women after childbirth.
The rectus abdominis muscles are found on the abdomen and are commonly referred to as the abs or “6 pack” muscles. There is a small band of tissue, called the linea alba, that connects the right and left side of the rectus abdominis muscles and is located at the midline of the body. Diastasis recti is a condition in which there is a weakening of the linea alba allowing for an abnormally large separation between the rectus abdominis muscles. This widening of the linea alba allows for bulging of the abdomen and an appearance of still appearing pregnant after delivery.
A hernia is the result of an organ or tissue protruding through an opening in the muscles. While a hernia can occur in many areas of the body, they most commonly develop in the abdominal and groin areas during pregnancy.
Developing a hernia during the course of your pregnancy is not always an immediate concern; in fact, most physicians recommend waiting until after you give birth to have the hernia treated. However, hernias rarely, if ever, go away on their own and must eventually be treated. Left untreated, a hernia will progressively worsen in severity and eventually become more serious can eventually lead to life-altering complications.
Back pain, especially in the lumbar or sacral regions, is a common condition experienced during pregnancy. In fact, nearly 1 out of every 2 pregnant women can expect to experience acute or chronic pain the in lumbar or sacral regions of the spine. The pain in these areas is typically temporary and a direct result of pregnancy-induced weight gain and hormonal changes, and often contributes to pain, sleep-disturbances, and other discomforts experienced during the course of the pregnancy.
Hip pain can be debilitating — especially when you are tasked with carrying a baby. The extra pressure and strain on your joints causes hip pain that pregnant women often misdiagnose and neglect to seek treatment for. Hip pain comes from various sources during pregnancy. Most women start to develop the joint pain during the second trimester, right as you start to develop a “baby bump.” The change in your walking style, the loosening of your ligaments holding together the sacroiliac joints, and sleeping on your side later in pregnancy all can add to hip pain. Another cause is pressure on your sciatic nerve, formally called Sciatica. Sciatica can cause pain, numbness, and/or tingling in the buttocks, hips, and thigh. This is where appointments with your physician are especially useful, as Sciatica can lead to serious complications.
Subluxation of symphysis is also known as symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD). This is a condition that causes excessive movement of the pubic symphysis. The symphysis is a midline, nonsynovial joint that connects the right and left superior pubic ram. Because of the misalignment of the pelvis, pain is associated with this diagnosis. Basically, this joint holds the right and left sides of the pelvic muscles together. When this joint becomes soft, pelvic muscles and bones move more freely. With the weight of a growing baby, this can become a painful condition.
The perineum is the tissue that is located between the vagina and the anus. There are layers to the tissue being skin, subcutaneous tissue, and the pelvic floor muscles. The pelvic floor muscles are important muscles in regards to the passing of stool and urine. During vaginal delivery, the perineal tissue is stretched with the passing of the baby, mainly the head and shoulders, which can lead to tears of the perineal tissue. There are different grades ranging from 1 to 4 of perineal lacerations. Grades 1 and 2 are most common. Grades 3 and 4 are more severe with tearing of muscles and the anal sphincter. An episiotomy is an intentional perineal laceration made by the physician at the time of delivery. This was performed routinely some number of years ago, but is no long a routine procedure. Episiotomies are usually performed if there is concern for grade 3 or 4 perineal laceration or if there is concern to deliver the baby quickly.
The uterus is held in place by pelvic ligaments and muscles. The muscles can become weak or stretched out leading to a lack of support for the uterus. When the muscles become weak, the uterus may sag or descend from its normal position into the vagina. A uterovaginal prolapse is classified by its stage. A complete prolapse means part of the uterus has slipped so far that it protrudes from the vaginal opening. The difference with an incomplete uterovaginal prolapse is that the uterus becomes partially displaced into the vagina, but it does not protrude out.
The pelvic region of the body is the lowest part of the abdomen between the hip bones. The perineum in women refers to the area between the vagina and anus. Pelvic and perineal pain involves discomfort in either or both areas. Because the pelvic area and perineum are located near various organs, nerves, and muscles, pelvic and perineal pain is very common in women. The pain may come and go or be constant. The quality of the pain may vary based on the cause. The pain may be sharp, burn, or ache. Depending on the cause of the pain, symptoms may worsen when you move or use the bathroom.
Lower abdominal, inguinal, and groin pain is experienced due to the stretching of ligaments around the womb. As the womb becomes larger to accommodate the baby, the ligaments that hold the uterus in place must stretch. A certain ligament known as the round ligament is the culprit of your pain. This ligament attaches the front portion of the uterus to the groin. Normally, this ligament contracts and relaxes slowly when you sneeze, cough, or make rapid movements. During pregnancy everything speeds up and more weight is applied to the ligament. Due to the enlarging of the uterus during pregnancy, the round ligament is stretched and contracts more quickly, therefore causing pain.

I haven’t had the bellefit long, but it does exactly what they say it does! My tummy looks just about exactly as it did pre-pregnancy. I was shocked. I am a small person and gave birth to a 10lb baby. I was all tummy. When I first ordered I apparently didn’t do my sizing accurately and ordered a small. It was to snug so uncalled to exchange it. The level of customer service is exceptional. They sent me a medium in the mail that day. I didn’t even have to wait for my small to be returned and restocked! They also sent me a mailing label. It doesn’t get better than that. I would recommend this to anyone.

I had an unexpected c-section and this girdle not only slims my belly and keep things tight, I notice a HUGE difference in my comfort and pain level. While wearing the girdle, I don’t need to take much or really anything for pain management but I notice when I go even a few hours of not wearing it, my incision and belly get really sore. I definite recommend this girdle. Pretty easy to put on, not uncomfortable to sit down in and does the job!
I didn’t know about this girdle until a friend told me about it 4-5 weeks postpartum. I ordered it a couple weeks later. I’m glad I went with medium instead of the small size which is the size the size chart recommended for me. When I first put it on I needed someone’s help and they still had a hard time because it was beyond tight. The first few times someone helped me put it on. Then I started doing it myself. I was trying to wear it regularly but because it was so tight I couldn’t. One night I felt like I was suffocating and immediately removed it. Despite wearing it often, I still have my small belly from my uterus. I don’t know if I’m not wearing it enough. Because it is so tight and uncomfortable still and it is 115 degrees outside its hard to wear when I go Outside so that may be why it has not worked 100%. Also the top hook broke off couple weeks ago and I can’t secure the top anymore. I also wish the girdle was higher up because you can see my upper stomach coming out of the girdle through my clothes which is gross. I go back to work in a week and was trying on work clothes with the girdle on and You can see my upper stomach. Overall the concept is great but the main issue is the discomfort still and not having the top hook.
If u could actually get the thing on and to close I can’t use it yet because the sizing is off
Fit as Expected
I ordered this before my delivery date. The corset is very well made and more compressive than the Velcro binder they send you home with from the hospital. It is also made to stay in place better and not ride up like others due to the groin closure. Unfortunately I ended up with an emergency c section and this corset didn’t work for me. However the Bellefit customer service was super helpful getting me into the right binder. Would order from this company again.

I tried Bellefit for the first time back in 2014 for my second pregnancy and I absolutely loved it. I was back to my post weight in two weeks. It also helped me to do things around the house as well as made me feel secure. Oh, by the way I had a c-section. If your curious about this product, dont be. Measure yourself, call Bellefit, and get your order on its way. You won’t regret it, I promise.

When I first got pregnant I knew that I would want to get back in shape right away so I started doing research and thankfully I found Bellefit! Bellefit has been so awesome, before I got pregnant I weighed 110 pounds and then I went up to 160 pounds, I am happy to say that thanks to Bellefit I now weigh 104 pounds!! The girdle was great, I wore it under my regulare clothing comfortably and was able to wear it comfortably even when I was breastfeeding. Not only did the girdle help me lose weigt in a healthy way but it also helped my back pain. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get back to normal as soon as possible, you will have no regrets if you choose Bellefit!!

I am so thankful for the Bellefit girdle with zipper. I bought the girdle after my second pregnancy, but unfortunately, didn’t start wearing it until a few days after delivery. For my third pregnancy, I brought the girdle to the hospital and had it on 12 hours after delivery. It was amazing!! I felt so supported. The cramping even seemed to be lessened. I’ve been wearing it for three weeks since under my regular clothes and at night. I’ve had so many compliments on how great I look. I feel fantastic! As far as the choice of girdle, the zipper is easy to put on. It’s easy to use the bathroom. My only regret is not buying two so that I could always have one on while the other is in the wash. I highly recommend the girdle to all my girlfriends, definitely money well spent!
This product is made well , not like other similar products I have purchased. I bought it a little less than 2 years ago for my first pregnancy and I believe it definitely made me look slimmer. I just started using it again after my second pregnancy and is excited to see the results this time around. Every expectant mom should get this product!

The first girdle I purchased is the exact same design with a different material with a little less give. I purchased it for my mommy makeover surgery. It’s so much more comfortable then the other awkward yet pricey garments I’ve tried. It was to the point that I was wearing a binder still 2 weeks post-op because all the other compression garments I tried would tug and pull at my sutures. This does not do that. I am wearing it with an under tank and panties for extra comfort. I am looking forward to this style girldle that the associate advised for more comfort with my type of procedure. So I am very excited to try that one…because all though the one I have it pretty comfortable….i want to be as comfortable as possible during my recovery! I ordered it in a large. I am 153 lbs 5 feet 7 inches and my hip measurement is 39 inches.

I love the zipper bellefit girdle. It held everything in and did exactly what it was supposed to. I would recommend laying down like it says because if you turn to the side to try and do the hooks you’ll hurt your back. It kept everything in and I’ve gotten so many compliments while wearing it.

This is a great girdle! I feels nice and tight around my belly.

PROS: It helped my back pain decrease SIGNIFICANTLY! I went hiking with it and my back never felt tired of painful. (I have diastasis rect) It also helped me to lose weight/flatten my tummy. Within the same month I went from fitting tightly in a size 10 in jeans to being loose fitted in a size 8! LOOOOVE that youre able to use the restroom easily! Literally the main reason I got this. You could keep it on while needing to find release.
CONS: My butts eats it and i get a REALLY bad wedgy as well as it poking my rib when the upper portion slips down. After pulling them back into place, it was good though. Just gota be willing to adjust every now and then. Esp transitioning from sitting to standing & vise versa. Also, itd be great if youre able to toss these things in the washer but it has to be hand washed and line dried. I guess im just lazy but yah.

I purchased the large. It fits me perfect around my butt area and I was really worried that it was going to be to tight down there like everything else is for me, but it fit perfect. I’ve been wearing my side zip girdle for a few hours every day and I see more and more of a difference every day (I’m had my baby 4 days ago)
I do notice that when I’m wearing the girdle, the middle hook under the zipper part comes undone some how.. it’s a little annoying but I hope it stops doing that as soon as I fit into it a little better.
All in all I am very happy I bought this!

Post my c-section, I bought this as my second girdle as I have moved a size down from the XL (dual closure version). At first, it was a bit tight to put on but once you get it in the first time, it will be much easier from then on. Also, I feel that once I have them on, I never want to take them off, hence I wear them for close to 24 hours a day.
So impressed with how my Bellefit provides sleek and firm support!!! After having triplets the Bellefit helped me wear all my pre-pregnancy clothes 🙂

I am really glad that I came across the Bellefit girdles. With my previous pregnancies i used a Velcro adjustable wrap and it constantly gave me the muffin top look and constantly rolled, but with the girdle it didn’t! I was sceptical at first but now 10 days after wearing it it actually does the job great. I’m almost back to my pre pregnancy size and it also helped my bleeding slow down too. I’ve already recommended the girdles to a few of my friends.

Good quality, good support.

I can’t say enough about this bellefit!!! Just love the change it made to my shape. My 5th pregnancy, gaining over 55 lbs with each one and from wearing first the pull up in medium 3 wks post partum to 7 wks later small girdle with the zipper and now the extra small. People can’t believe I’ve had any children, let alone 5 with in 10 years, even when I’m not wearing one.
Thank you Bellefit!!! I recommend this device to everyone, works so great and so comfortable, supportive of my back. Confidence builder from the get go. Skip the hundred of wonderful reviews, or other useless girdles out there and just by one ( or several) already and enjoy the benefits!!!!!! YOU ARE WORTH IT !!!

Helped me get back to prepregnancy size.

When I first received my girdle, it was too small. Bellefit exchanges are EASY! They also check to make sure they review your measurements to lessen the chances of having to exchange it again. When I got my right size, the girdle worked like magic! If you are considering, order it…you won’t regret it!

I have been wearing my girdle for a week so far and I love it. It’s not uncomfortable, it fits perfect and I can wear it all day long. I can’t wait to see my results for this is my third baby.

Having my second set of twins, I was nervous about developing DR and so was researching interventions. I noticed a paucity of research and thought this seemed as good as anything to try. I have been very pleased with the support provided. Also, I’d say to use the sizing chart with a grain of salt if you’re taller, as I didn’t feel like it accounted for taller women (I’m 5’10”).

Begin wearing after birth on the day that you are discharged from the hospital. It’s optimal to begin wearing Bellefit right after birth; however, you will still see results if you begin to wear your girdle at any time during the first 6 months after the delivery.
Here’s why: Still present after childbirth for up to 6 months are hormones secreted during pregnancy. These hormones, Estrogen, progesterone and relaxin loosen the abdominal muscles, the pelvic structure and supporting ligaments and joints. Bellefit works together with your body’s natural process of recovery.
As a new mother, you likely have questions about what you can and cannot do after giving birth. There will be a period of rest and recovery following the birthing process that you’ll be recommended to take. So, how do you know if a postpartum girdle is right for you or not?
Among the many benefits that comes with wearing a postpartum girdle is how well it keeps things in place. With pregnancy weight being an issue for many women who have just given birth, a postpartum girdle helps compress the abdomen, giving you a seamless look that can be worn under dresses, skinny jeans, and sweatpants. It also provides extra support for the lower back which has a tendency to hurt whenever weight is gained.
Having a garment that keeps everything in place makes it easier for you to exhibit good posture and prevent muscle strain. That means that you won’t risk injuring yourself while you work to lose the extra weight you gained while pregnant.Bellefit products are designed to maximize comfort while providing support in all the right places. We offer a variety of styles of girdles to choose from, too, making it easy to find one that you love wearing.
The fact that your hips spread while pregnant to accommodate childbirth is quite the phenomenon. Your pelvis also makes room for the birthing process which may or may not include a vaginal delivery.
With the right corset or girdle, you’ll be able to narrow the distance between your hips and go back to looking like yourself once again.
As you work to lose the pregnancy weight, you’ll feel your hips and lower back being supported by the undergarment. Binding your hips in the eight weeks after giving birth helps pelvic joints go back to where they were prior to your pregnancy. That way, you won’t feel them being as spread-out as before.
A surge of hormones is something to be expected when pregnant. Don’t be concerned if your mood swings all over the place. It’s incredibly normal to feel the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.
You will get back to your normal self soon. Even if you don’t, you’ll start to feel better about your situation. If your feelings of sadness or depression don’t go away, it’s time to speak to a licensed therapist who can help you on a clinical level. Your issue is far more complicated than just needing some extra rest or help around the house.
Your hormones will eventually settle and you’ll feel more at ease in your body. Don’t be surprised if there is a transitional period from giving birth to getting back to your pre-pregnancy self. You’ve got time, and with Bellefit, you’ve got tools! Our postpartum girdles have helped women from around the world feel more confident about their bodies after delivering.
As a pregnant woman, you’re required to follow lots of advice. The following list provides valuable insight and advice on what not to do after giving birth to a child. By following it and the suggestions given to you by your physician, you decrease the chances delaying your recovery.
– Strenuous Exercising
– Junk Food
– Certain Types of Fish
It’s important that you steer clear of these things until your body has had time to fully heal and that you’re no longer breastfeeding your child. That way, you’re not taking any chances on you or your baby’s health. Instead, you’re postponing some of the things you may really be looking forward to doing, eating or drinking.
The Girdle with Zipper has a lateral zipper on the side with two sets of hook and eye closures underneath. They are separated by an inch apart and so as your body transforms after your delivery, you can adjust the setting when slightly more or less compression is needed. Because of the closure location, it is not very visible underneath most clothing options.
The Girdle with zipper also has a convenient crotch are closure that allows you to use the restroom or change your underwear and pads comfortably without needing to take it off each time.
We only recommend it after your C-Section Incision has healed. We would recommend a Girdle with Hooks (Corset) or Dual-Closure after a c-section.
If you choose to purchase a Girdle with Zipper after a C-Section, because of the closure location, you may need assistance in the beginning since your torso needs to twist slightly in order to access the zipper. You will find that it becomes more comfortable to close as you get farther along in your recovery process.
Yes! The Girdle with Zipper is an excellent option after a natural delivery.
We would generally recommend a Girdle with Hooks (Corset) or Dual-Closure if your delivery method is uncertain.
We generally recommend a Girdle with Hooks (Corset) after an abdominal surgery that may or may not be related to pregnancy.
The Girdle with Zipper is flush with your skin and because of the closure location; it is not visible underneath most clothing options.
Yes. The Girdle with Zipper has a lateral zipper on the side with two sets of hook and eye closures underneath. They are separated by an inch apart and so as your body transforms after your delivery, you can adjust the setting when slightly more or less compression is needed.
The Girdle with Zipper is recommended for a Triangle/Inverted Triangle/Rectangle and Hourglass.
Begin wearing your Girdle with Zipper the day that you are discharged from the hospital or as soon as you are ready to wear it after the delivery. It’s optimal to begin wearing Bellefit right after birth; however, you will still see results if you begin to wear your girdle at any time during the first 6 months after the delivery. As always, consult with your physician to make sure the Girdle with Zipper is right for you since every recovery process is so unique.

Bellefit Binders are made with triple-layered fabrics which makes them fit firmly around the waist.
Ab Binders are not recommended to wear right after giving birth.
Ab Binders are recommended for daytime use only.
Girdles are best for wearing after giving birth, especially after a c-section.

Bellefit girdles have a reinforced front panel that reaches down to the lower abdomen designed to support the post-baby pooch.
Both the Girdle and Binder are effective within their purpose.
Girdles are designed to support the postpartum belly, help reduce swelling and reduce after-birth pains.
Binders are designed to instantly reduce inches off your waistline and give you a more visible hourglass figure.
Abdominal Binders can be slid up or down your core to give you proper coverage if you have a long torso.
Girdles can be slightly customized to add or remove length by adjusting the settings on the groin closure flap.
For additional length all girdles come with a free attachable extender.

Binders are a great companion item to the Girdles when you want to shape your waistline and wear your favorite outfits.
There are two Girdle Styles designed to be safer for recovery after Hysterectomy or abdominal surgery:
If you’re not recently postpartum or have never been pregnant, Abdominal Binders are the right solution for shaping, waist reduction and an hourglass waist effect.
ALL GIRDLES can be worn for recovery of Diastasis Recti.
Girdles are designed to be easier to put on after giving birth.
Abdominal muscles affected by Diastasis are weak. Binders have very firm compression and can be more challenging to put on if you have diastasis.
