The Picky Eater Dilemma
There is one in every family, a very picky eater that throws off mom and dad at every meal of the day. It can be very frustrating for any parent when you spend time, love and energy into making delicious meals for their family and their picky eater refuses to eat. Fret not; most children go through lengths of time when they want nothing to do with certain foods, so you are definitely not alone. Read on as we offer some tips and tricks for dealing with the picky eater dilemma.
Keep it Positive
It is very important for parents to have a positive attitude during meal times. Make sure that you don't show your children when you get frustrated about their pickiness even if it means ignoring some of their bad behavior at times. Try to focus on the positive and celebrate the small milestones when they try new things.
Continue to Introduce New Foods
Be organized in your weekly menus and continue to introduce new foods so your children can develop a familiarity with new foods. Even if they have no desire to try them at first, when they see the rest of the family eating different foods, they will learn to be more accepting of these new meals.
Setup a Reward System
Children love rewards. Setup a reward system to encourage your children to try new things with the outlook of a nice reward at the end of the week. Although some parents can find it difficult to budge in rewarding children who are not cooperating, this method can have a very positive outcome in the long run.
Know When to Introduce New Foods
There are certain times in the day when children are very hungry and are more likely to try new things. Have certain snacks and foods such as fresh veggies or fruits ready to go for these small windows of willingness.
Make it Look Fun
If food looks fun and delicious, children are more likely to try it. Sometimes going the extra mile in making fun looking food in smaller portions, can encourage children to give certain foods a try.
Get Them Involved
What better way to get children into food than getting them involved in making it? There are many ways to involve children in the cooking process. If they can see how it's made and be part of the cooking process, then they will be more excited to try the foods that they "cooked themselves". (wink-wink)
The Great Benefits of Exercise During Pregnancy
Exercise during pregnancy can be challenging. Experts agree that women require a moderate amount of regular exercise during pregnancy. Gone are the days when women were advised to put up their feet and take it easy during pregnancy. If you have high-risk pregnancy, talk to doctor before beginning an exercise program. If your pregnancy is low-risk, then exercise should be part of your daily routine.
Here are some of the most common forms of safe exercise during pregnancy:
Walking
Many women opt for walking as their main form of exercise. This low impact exercise requires not much more than a comfortable pair of shoes and breathable clothing. You can walk outdoors and enjoy nature or if the weather is an issue, you can walk indoors at a mall or indoor circuit. Walking will increase your heart rate gradually as you maintain a steady pace making this one of the most popular forms of exercise for pregnant women.
Running
Women who were runners prior to becoming pregnant can continue to run during their pregnancies, too. Higher intensity exercise, like running, needs to be taken on with a bit more caution than lighter intensity exercise, like walking. Because pregnancy causes the ligaments and tendons of the body to relax, pregnant women may be at a higher risk for certain injuries. Generally, pregnant women should never exercise to the point of exhaustion and should avoid sprinting and anything else that causes breathlessness.
Swimming
Swimming is another excellent form of exercise that strengthens the cardiovascular system while exercising nearly every muscle in the human body. Swimming can also alleviate some of the discomforts of pregnancy, especially during the last trimester. Pregnant women often love the water because of its anti-gravity effects: women can find relief from their heavy bellies in the water.
Prenatal Yoga
Prenatal yoga is an excellent form of exercise during pregnancy. This low impact method uses the body's own weight and limitations to provide a well-rounded and balanced routine. Women, who are already into Yoga, tend to continue their yoga lifestyle during pregnancy, which benefits their bodies and alleviates many of the aches and pains that occur during pregnancy.
Guided Exercise
Joining a gym is a great way to get exercise during pregnancy that is tailored for pregnant women and guided by a personal instructor. At a gym a pregnant woman can make use of cardiovascular exercise aids such as the treadmill, stationary bikes and classes amongst others. Exercising in a controlled environment provides a certain level of comfort and safety that is key for a pregnant woman to feel at ease and enjoy her workout routine.
Benefits of Exercise During Pregnancy
The Great Benefits of Exercise During PregnancyDuring the first trimester, exercise during pregnancy has the potential to alleviate nausea. As you enter the second trimester, your center of gravity may begin to change. From this period on, paying special attention to your balance during exercise will help safeguard you against injuries. During the third trimester you may find yourself slowing down, no matter what activity you have chosen as exercise. This is normal, and despite feeling very heavy and perhaps tired, you should try your best to continue your exercise regimen.
Keep in Mind
Exercise during pregnancy can sometimes feel like an uphill battle. Sometimes you feel sick, other times tired. Though regular exercise during pregnancy may be challenging, the benefits you and your baby will reap are many. Exercise can help you manage weight gain, and perhaps more importantly, regular exercise definitely improves your body image as your pregnancy progresses. Despite the many changes that you will experience as a pregnant woman, a fit, active nine months will have you reveling in the many amazing things your body can do.
The Benefits of Breastfeeding for You and Baby
In the past decade, information about the benefits of breastfeeding for you and baby have revolutionized the way moms think about how they nurture their babies.
Benefits of Breastfeeding for Baby
Breast milk evolves as your baby grows. For the first 3 to 4 days, your breasts produce a thick yellow milk called colostrum. It’s a concentrated milk with antibodies and proteins to protect your baby’s newborn intestines and provide a natural immunization.
Transitional milk occurs after colostrum and lasts for approximately two weeks. The content of transitional milk includes high levels of fat, lactose, water-soluble vitamins, and contains more calories than colostrum.
Mature milk is the final milk that is produced. 90% is water, which is necessary to maintain hydration of the infant. The other 10% is comprised of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats that are necessary for both growth and energy.
Breast milk has equal amounts of protein, carbohydrates and fats to meet your baby’s needs.
The fat in breast milk is good and rich in omega fatty acids, DHA and ARA, which help to support healthy brain and eye development during the first few years of life.
The hundreds of nutrients found in breast milk are the healthiest for your baby’s digestive system.
Unlike proteins found in regular cow’s milk and most formulas, the proteins in breast milk are naturally gentle for digestion.
Breast milk safeguards your baby.
Breast milk helps protect babies against food allergies, protein intolerance, and sensitivity.
Healthy bacteria (bifidobacteria and lactobacilli)—called probiotics—in breast milk have a positive influence on digestive functions and immune support.
Benefits of Breastfeeding for You
There is no formula in the world that will ever nourish a baby as well as breast milk does. The benefits far outweigh the challenges that come with it and you could say that breastfeeding is not only natural, but it is in fact necessary.
Breastfeeding diminishes future health risks
Women who breastfeed have a decreased risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, breast cancer and ovarian cancer later on in life.
Breastfeeding hormones reduce recovery time.
The act of breastfeeding triggers the release of oxytocin, which helps the uterus to contract and return to its pre-pregnancy size in less time.
Breastfeeding also triggers improved blood clotting, which reduces the amount of postpartum initial bleeding and decreases menstrual blood loss during the first few months after childbirth.
Breastfeeding allows you to bond with your baby.
You will find quiet moments and places for a positive experience.
Relax with your baby and observe their communication.
Skin-to-skin and eye-to-eye contact provides a unique closeness.
Inexpensive, Convenient and Naturally Made.
Requires little to no equipment.
Can be done almost anywhere and anytime.

The first week I wore Bellefit, I noticed a great difference
"The first week I wore it, I noticed a great difference. Not just in the size, measurement of my belly, its also the posture. My back feels better, it feels great. I feel like I could walk around a lot longer the first week. I am sitting properly just wearing it now. I don't want to go a day without wearing the girdle."
"I'd like to give my review on the Bellefit. I've had the Bellefit for about a month, I've worn it day and night and to bed and when I'm up and about. The only time I don't wear it is when I wash it. I have purchased two so when I have one that's washing, I have one to wear just so I'm not going a day without wearing the girdle.
The first week I wore it, I have noticed a great difference. Not just in the size, measurement of my belly, its also the posture. My back feels better, it feels great. I feel like I could walk around a lot longer the first week. I am sitting properly just wearing it now. I don't want to go a day without wearing the girdle. When I do wash it I wear the other one.
I just want to show you which ones I got. The first one I got is the corset style, it has hooks down the middle and all around it's just seamless and it's really great. The Bellefit, both that I bought have a flap so when you go to the washroom its easy to put on and take off so you don't have to take off the whole thing and put it back on. It's very convenient to have that when you go to the wash room. The second one I'm wearing is the side zipper I believe. This one you can't see any seams under the shirt, which is why I got it, it's seamless. This one has three hooks under the zipper and it zips right up and is very easy to put on and does the same job.
My friends have given me compliments on how I looked before I revealed to them that I was wearing a girdle. As soon as they found out, they asked me where they could get it and I recommended to them where to purchase it and all that.
I just want to tell you that I researched which wrap, which girdles were really good after pregnancy and each and every time I've looked at another product, I've gone back time and time again to Bellefit. That's how I knew it was the right brand for me and I confirmed it when I wore it. Now, a month later, it has given me great results. I would recommend Bellefit time and time again to my family and friends and I recommend it to you
The Bellefit Girdle Really Made My C-Section Scar Feel so Much Better
About six months in my pregnancy, I started thinking about trying to get back into shape after our baby was born and after researching, I decided to try the Bellefit C-Section girdle. It was fabulous! I was optimistic and once I tried it, I started seeing results right away.
I started using it the day after he was born and pretty much all day, I slept in it. I found it very easy to get on and off and use the restroom and in my daily activities. It really made my c-section scar feel so much better. I found that it held it tight against my body so I had less pain which was really nice.
I've already gone down one size which is great. I was back in my pre-pregnancy clothes in two about weeks. So I would definitely suggest it for a friend, in fact, I told someone yesterday "you've got to go and get one before your baby is born." All in all, I am very pleased, the shipping was quick, it was there in one to two days, so I am very happy with Bellefit. Thanks!"
The Bellefit Girdle Really Helped Me Move around after My C-Section
Hi guys, I'm Norma and I wanted to talk to you about the Bellefit corset. I actually purchased this a couple months before I had my baby girl and I just had her two weeks ago and I've been wearing it for about ten days.
Was the Bellefit Girdle Comfortable?
It's really comfortable. I found that it really helped me in doing things around the house and moving around, getting out of bed. I had a C-Section so it really helped keep pressure on the surgery and I really think it's helped with the healing as well. I got it fairly quickly and I have no complaints.
The product is really good quality. I think the fabric is just great, it doesn't stretch out and when you wash it or anything it really keeps its shape.
How Long Can You Wear the Girdle For
I wear it all day, from the minute I wake up to the minute I go to bed. I found that it really helped bring my waist area back together and two weeks after my baby was born I am able to wear my pre-pregnancy clothes and am also down to my pre-pregnancy weight. I think the corset really helped with that.
I've gotten a lot of compliments and I've been showing my friends what I've been wearing to help get everything back. I definitely recommend it and I think its a great product. I am not wearing it right now, but I think for having had my baby two weeks ago, I think its fairly good. I have a little bit of work to do once I tighten everything up, but I think Bellefit has really helped me so far.

We are always so impressed when we see their postpartum belly transformations,. We wanted to take a moment to share some of these stories with the online mom community and help spread the word about how well postpartum girdles really do work!

The changes in the body of a woman during subsequent pregnancies can be more challenging than their first.
Tiffany's Postpartum Belly Recovery Story
We caught up with the confident mom of two as she shared how Bellefit facilitated her recovery after giving birth.
“To be honest, I was the most nervous person about trying this product because of a few reasons.
I always see these commercials and advertisements of how AMAZING and SO SLIM you can look after trying “(insert product name here)”. I have been a consumer of many ” Lose weight, feel great” products with no results or no lasting results
My baby was born weighing 9 pounds 12 ounce! Needless to say, I was rather large in my belly. In fact I was SO big, my postpartum pictures looked like I was still pregnant!
Since this was my second child, I KNEW how hard it is to lose the baby weight.
Tiffany W. during her third trimester
"I remember spending countless hours, days, weeks and months in the gym after my first pregnancy. It was STILL so hard to lose the weight and not to mention to just look good!”
Tiffany recalls that a good friend of hers who had recently given birth was using Bellefit. She has spoken highly of the amazing postpartum belly recovery she was experiencing.
Tiffany decided to try it for herself and was elated! "Boy do I have A LOT to say about Bellefit," mentioned the mom of two . "It's AMAZING!!! SIMPLY AMAZING!!!"
"From the first time trying on the Bellefit (Which honestly was hard for me because of just how big I had gotten), I knew this was a legitimate product!”.The results that Tiffany got from Bellefit were almost immediate. It all started shortly after giving birth to her baby.
"My husband came in after I had put on my T-Shirt and he couldn't believe how slim Bellefit made my postpartum belly look. As a woman who had just left the hospital, that ALONE made me feel like a MILLION BUCKS. It only got better from there," mentioned Tiffany. "Wherever I went, I felt confident, slim and sexy" she recalls.
A mom and entrepreneur, Tiffany owns a successful Salon and Spa in Conroe,Texas. In her business, looking good and feeling great is not only important, it’s an absolute must.
"Every woman client I have would marvel over how skinny I look."
Tiffany got used to hearing comments like "Girl, there is NO WAY you just had a baby" and "How does your postpartum belly look so slim so fast?".
Before Tiffany discovered Bellefit, it took her 5 months to recover her postpartum belly after her first pregnancy.
After her second pregnancy, Tiffany began wearing her Bellefit weight loss girdle 2 days postpartum. She recovered her postpartum belly in just 3 weeks!
"I cannot thank you enough for making me look good and feel good! And I haven't even been to the gym yet! It's been three weeks and I am still losing inches and can now hook the final pieces on my Bellefit girdle to make me even more trim!
The best part now is, because of my line of work, I can give testimony after testimony to all my clients and girls who work for me about how WONDERFUL this product is.

The Bellefit Effect
Women’s bodies are built to bounce back from pregnancy and childbirth. But the reality is that it can be difficult to “bounce back” and return to pre-pregnancy shape without help.
During pregnancy the body secretes hormones such as estrogen, progesterone and relaxin. Theyremain in the body after childbirth for approximately six months.
These hormones are our body’s way of loosening the abdominal muscles. Consequently, they facilitate the stretching of the abdominal area by as much as 50%, while the baby grows.
Furthermore, they also act to loosen the pelvic structure, joints and ligaments to prepare for childbirth.
What is a Postpartum Girdle?
The beauty behind Bellefit ® medical-grade postpartum support garments is that they provide a greater stability for the postpartum belly after delivery.
The compression garments work by drawing in stretched muscles to provide a 360° support structure around the torso, thus, reducing strain on ligaments and joints in the lower back, pelvis, and buttocks.
Reducing stress in these areas enhances your body’s ability to return to its pre-pregnancy alignment, shape and to lose the post baby tummy faster.
As shifted and constrained organs return to their pre-pregnancy locations during the first few weeks after c-section or natural childbirth, Bellefit ® girdles hold you in place allowing for movement with greater confidence.
A Bellefit ® postpartum garment is an essential part of a comprehensive postpartum care and c-section recovery plan for both health and confidence.
C Section Recovery Band Helps Mom Eliminate Pain & Gain Confidence
I found out about the Bellefit c section recovery band from an internet search. After comparing a lot of girdles, I choose Bellefit because it offered medical grade compression and the reviews were excellent.
Bellefit is proud to announce that we are honoring Sara C. from Canada as our Postpartum Recovery Featured Mom. Having had a previous C-section, Sara wanted to be prepared this time knowing that a challenging recovery was possible with a c section recovery band.

"I placed the order and I got it right before I went into the hospital. Let me just say that I was not disappointed” she affirmed.
Unexpectedly, I developed a 3 1/2" Diastasis separation in my abdominal muscles during my pregnancy.
Sara gratefully expressed her relief. "As soon as I put on the Bellefit c section recovery band, I felt instant relief. I lost a few inches around my waist, had better posture, walked without pain, and gained confidence."
I literally went from limping across a room, half leaned over because of the pain from my incision to walking confidently! This was all because of the protection and support of the Bellefit girdle.
Sarah C.
Sara remembers her postpartum recovery three months after her C-Section.
“Not only did the Bellefit c section recovery band take away a lot of my pain and discomfort, but I also received many compliments about how good my body looked post baby"
"Thank you so much for this product, Bellefit!
I highly recommend it to other moms, especially to those delivering by C-sections and affected by abdominal separations.”
Congratulations Sara!

How to Lose Post Pregnancy Tummy
My Post Pregnancy Tummy Recovery Story
I had a natural birth, and I started wearing the Corset girdle as soon as I got home from the hospital.I have a before and after picture that shows the dramatic results after just 2 weeks of wearing.Next time I have a baby I am definitely making sure a Bellefit is on my list of things to get.I wore it non-stop, 24/7 for 2 weeks, only taking it off to shower. It started to become like second nature and I actually felt awkward with out it. There is no worse feeling then loose skin around your midsection.I loved how the girdle contained and compressed everything.
I accredit it for being the reason for my super fast recovery as well as my shortened period of blood loss.
The postpartum corset relieved the bloating and swelling that comes with the post pregnancy tummy faster than had I not used anything, and the convenient hook and eye closure underneath were easy to access when I had to rush to use the bathroom or change pads. The best part is that it never rode up like the other “belly bands” that are not connected. This also provide lower abdominal support which is where you need it most.I wore it under my clothes and people could barely tell I just had a baby.~ Doreen

Home Birth; Is It the Right Choice for Me?
Home Birth
More and more women are turning to home birth as well. Some home births are attended by midwives, while others are just the laboring mother and her birth partner. The woman is, theoretically, in complete control during a home birth. She is free to move about in the comfort of her surroundings. Such an environment is beneficial for many women; because her surroundings are so familiar, there is little to distract her from the work of labor.
https://youtu.be/Be3ISaDTfI4
At the same time, there are no medical interventions available for laboring women at home. Women can certainly reduce their discomfort during labor by spending time in the tub or shower, having their partner use massage to manage tension, or by simply practicing their own laboring techniques. If you are experiencing a high-risk pregnancy, home birth is probably not for you. In the end, however, it is the job of the mother and her partner to decide where to give birth.
Pregnancy is a special time for women. Despite the discomforts and challenges you may be feeling, there is no denying the magic of the little person developing inside you.
During pregnancy, it is sometimes easy to focus your attention on your changing body and the baby’s development and forget about how and where the baby will be born.
Though most mothers still give birth in a hospital setting, more and more women are electing to have their babies in birth centers or even in the comfort and privacy of their own homes.
The decision of where to have your baby is a highly personal one, and it is a good idea to explore your options.
Even if you decide on the traditional hospital setting, understanding the benefits and drawbacks of each birth environment will ensure that you’ve made the best decision for you and your family.
Having a baby at a hospital is clearly the most common birth setting for most women. The benefits of a hospital birth are many. Most women see OB/GYNs for their prenatal, birth, and postpartum care, and most OB/GYNs have privileges in hospitals rather than in birth centers.
There Are Two Major Types of Hospitals
A teaching hospital has the most up-to-date equipment and part of their mission is to teach the next generation of doctors and nurses about medical care. In a teaching hospital, the birthing mother may be asked if interns and other medical students can watch or assist with the labor and birth.
Smaller community hospitals are more likely to have a more intimate feel. They are less likely to have medical students helping care for patients. All hospitals provide opportunities for pain management for laboring women, from local anesthetics to epidural and spinal blocks.
What a hospital lacks in comfort and privacy it makes up for in access to emergency care. Women with complicated pregnancies or babies with special needs will benefit from neonatal care found in hospitals.

Bellefit Girdles
Maternity Girdle Discovered by First Time Mom
Every day we hear the most amazing and inspiring postpartum recovery stories from moms who wear a Bellefit maternity girdle from all around the world. We are always so impressed when we see their transformations. We wanted to help spread the word about the exciting benefits of a Bellefit Maternity Girdle. What better way than by sharing these stories with the online mom community?
Bellefit is proud to announce that we are honoring Laura H. from Westfield, Indiana as our Postpartum Recovery Featured Mom.
First time mom, Laura H., gave birth to a healthy baby boy in May 2013.
Laura gained 50 pounds during her pregnancy. Her belly grew so much that it caused a lot of strain on her petite body.
Laura began thinking about what her petite body would go through after giving birth, since the size of her belly was bigger than she’d expected.
"My belly was HUGE and was giving me so much hip and back pain! For the last two months of my pregnancy, I slept on the couch because I was so uncomfortable.”
"So I heard about a woman that had used a maternity girdle . Up until then I didn’t know there was anything like that. I looked online and I came across Bellefit Maternity Girdles. As I was looking at it, I thought ‘Well, I’m probably not gonna buy one of these’."
It seemed a little pricey and I thought, ” I don’t want to spend that kind of money for the sake of vanity because I want my body back.”
The more I looked at it, the more I read the medical benefits and reviews. I realized that maybe this was an investment that I needed to make.
Laura decided to talk to her OB/GYN about her concerns. Her doctor agreed that wearing a maternity girdle would be beneficial for her after giving birth.
She purchased a Bellefit Maternity Girdle and had it ready to go before her due date.
Laura delivered her 8 lb. 3 oz. baby boy via C-section and soon began to experience pain in both her abdomen and her back.
"I began wearing my Bellefit Maternity Girdle 5 days after giving birth to my baby. I wore it everyday, all day and all night. The only time I took it off was to wash it or to take a shower."
“I kept it on as much as I could because it felt really good to have it on! It also prevented me from hurting my incision area and my abdomen.”
“When you’re moving your baby around, trying to pick him up, or picking up the car seat, all those things put a lot of stress on your mid-section. The Bellefit Maternity Girdle really gave me support and made me feel like I had stability in my core.”
Months later, Laura found out that she had a three and a half finger Diastasis Recti. That's separation of the abdominal muscles that commonly happens after pregnancy.
Having worn Bellefit to compress her midsection after giving birth, Laura had the support that spared her from further injuring her abdomen.
Laura's Maternity Girdle Video Testimony
The busy first time mom used her Bellefit maternity girdle as her primary means of postpartum recovery.
"I started with a size medium, wore it for 8 or 9 weeks, then I got the small and then ended up ordering the extra small. Looking back, I wish I'd gotten the Bundle to save a little money. I just didn't know how fast I would go down in sizes.” she recalls.
"I started out weighing 125 lb. when I was pregnant, I went up to 175 lb. and 3 months after I delivered my baby I weighed about 134 lb. Bellefit really set me in a good path to get back in my original size."
“I am happy knowing that I had Bellefit because I would’ve been in big trouble without it”.
"I didn’t think that I would ever get out of Yoga pants again! But, Bellefit really helped me get my stability back. It helped get the fluid out, make the swelling go down and get the support that I’d been missing.”
As her baby approaches his first birthday in May, Laura is happy to say that her choice to wear a Bellefit maternity girdle after her C-section helped her reclaim her pre-pregnancy shape. She also was able to enjoy a faster full recovery. Today, Laura likes to share her story with other expectant moms and tells them about Bellefit. “As moms we do a lot for everybody else, this is something that you can do for yourself.”
"Definitely make the investment. Bellefit really is worth it, it's gonna make you feel so much better."
Congratulations Laura!!!!

Bellefit Girdles & Corsets
The Bellefit Corset Slimmed Me Instantly
"I ordered my Bellefit about seven months ago before my fourth child was born, he's seven months old now. I got it within a week and I was very pleased with the delivery.
I had looked online a lot, a lot of different reviews and Bellefit seemed to have the best postpartum corset. So I ordered it.
I started wearing Bellefit about four days after my son was born and I felt so secure in it. It took everything and just put it into place, it held me tight and I felt so confident because it just slimmed me instantly. It's just a great shape. It's easy to go to the bathroom, easy to put on and off by myself. It was comfortable.
I would recommend this to anyone and I have already recommended it. Thank you so much."
